General Information

We are what we eat as the saying goes but how true is this? How is it that also some people hate certain foods when they are younger and love them when they are older. Is it social, DNA or just the taste or texture. Is there a link with colour?

In some societies and cultures children are fed hot spicy foods from birth and accept it as a way of life whilst other communities children take years to get accustomed to hot spicy food – if ever.

Well the answer is – who knows? There is much written about food preferences one thing is for sure it’s very individual. Therefore doing your homework,educating yourself about you and your preferences are good ways to start to understand more.

When you change your food preferences your body can go into imbalance and make you feel uncomfortable – in fact it could be said your body will work against you because humans are creatures of habit and we love to have stability. Regular same food creates a chemical balance in our system. Once we start to change that balance it makes us feel different. That may force many people to slip back into old habits as we feel it is nice there.
